All-Inclusive Tour Details

Diving is exciting, it´s an introduction to a whole new world. Most of us will never try it because it seems a little scary, too complicated, and we are not certain how best to go about it. Baja Charters has changed all that.

Certified Divers
You can join us on our large and spacious sailing catamaran, or our even larger 96’cruising yacht, or our pilothouse trawler, on a private charter and include scuba for certified divers for only $189.50 plus tax, per guest. This includes a divemaster, separate dive boat, a helmsperson, dive equipment and two tanks per guest. Three divers minimum.

Non-Certified Divers
You may join us on board a private charter or one of our nautical excursions for your first dive with an instructor. With advance notice, we can provide you with personal instructions by a PADI Dive Instructor and get you under water for your first dive. It's easy, and the total cost is only $239.50 plus tax, per person. This rate includes personal instruction, dive equipment, and your first dive along a rock reef with a certified PADI Dive Instructor. Three divers minimum.

If you are already a certified diver, we have some great WRECK DIVES to explore. The rate is the same, $189.50, plus tax, which includes two tanks, equipment, divemaster, and dive boat, provided you are a part of a private charter, or one of our excursions that permit scuba. (Sadly, it is against the law in Mexico to use scuba with whale sharks.)

To arrange local dives with only a dive boat, WITHOUT going out on one of our regularly scheduled tours, the cost is $239.50, per person plus tax, with a three-person minimum. This includes the dive boat, all your equipment, a divemaster, national park entrance fees, sodas, and water. The dive tour is approximately four to five hours. If longer distances to specifically requested dive areas are required, there will be a corresponding increase in rate.

If you have a private charter scheduled or are booking one of our excursions that permits diving, consider adding scuba to your Baja Charters experience. If you are an experienced diver and want to go straight to the dive spots without the entire sailing catamaran experience, we do that too.

Pick-up Locations

We are generally able to provide pick-ups from most locations around Cabo San Lucas, the Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, and on the way to La Paz through Pescadero and Todos Santos.

There is a ground transportation surcharge for pickups in Los Barriles, La Ribera and La Ventana for groups of less than five persons.

Discount Available

Returning guests receive a 10% discount. If you prefer to drive directly to our sailing catamaran, there is plenty of safe parking in Marina Palmira. Click on: Contact Us. Scroll to: Yacht Location. There is a $30 discount per guest, that drives on their own. If you are calling or emailing, be sure to tell us if you are a returning guest.

Travel Times

The normal time to drive from the greater Cabo area to La Paz is about two hours, including a stop on the way over in Pescadero for coffee, restroom break, etc. After your Whale Shark encounter, on the return trip from La Paz, we stop at the Hotel California (of the Eagles Mythology), for restroom access, drinks, and brief shopping.

Departure Times

Pick-up time is approximately 6:00 AM. You will receive an email the day prior to your departure, to confirm a more precise pick-up time for the next day. The whale shark feeding zone has been taken over by CONANP, Mexico’s National Park System. Changes in guest pick-up times, and dock departure times, are subject to change based on directives from CONANP.

Ground Transportation

Typically, guests are picked up directly from the lobby entrance of their hotel or resort, but not always. Depending on a number of factors, guests may be requested to meet ground transport in a central location.
